James Mills graduated from Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas in the top 10% of his class. While at H.P., James lettered in three varsity sports, and served on several National Honor Societies. He was an Academic All-State Football player, and was a finalist for the National Gridiron Association's Scholar-Athlete Award. James also won three consecutive state championships as an integral part of the Highland Park Lacrosse team.
When not playing sports, he enjoys reading and playing the piano, a hobby he first picked up over ten years ago. James came to the University of Texas in the fall of 2010, and anticipates graduating from the McCombs School of Business in the Spring of 2014 with a Finance degree.
He is extremely close with his two sisters, Amanda (24) and Caroline (23). Amanda attended the University of Baylor and now teaches 1st Grade at Anderson Elementary in Frisco, Texas. Caroline is currently attending Texas Women's University in Denton to receive a second degree in physical therapy.
